News Story: Is the new Masta travel clinic solution for independent pharmacies worthwhile?
We have been contacted by some pharmacists recently as the MASTA sales team have been targeting community pharmacies to sell their new travel clinic solution.
We have looked into the new MASTA travel clinic solution to review it compared to the pharmadoctor solution and have found it pretty expensive for both patients and pharmacies.
The annual costs to the pharmacy
In practice, based on their minimum prediction:
If you do a minimum of 4 travel consultations per week, over the year this is = 4 x £18 x 52 = £3744
So, with the initial costs involved in setting up the clinic, the total cost of the MASTA solution in year one is
£3744 + £100 + £555 + £420 = £4819
+ extra expense of buying vaccines through MASTA
+ expensive clinical support.
