We are connecting patients to pharmacy services with our new polyclinic website

Our previous public facing website has already connected tens of thousands of travellers with local pharmacies. Inspired by the success of that project, we have launched a new website on the 17th July to connect patients with a full range of clinical services provided by community pharmacies.

The new PharmaDoctor patient website, www.pharmadoctor.co.uk/patient will introduce more than 50 clinical services offered by our network partner community pharmacists to patients. Once on the website, patients can search for services and find their local pharmacies where clinical treatments can be accessed.

Our site will enable patients to conveniently start consultations before arriving at the pharmacy. After registering securely, patients can complete the initial stage of their consultation online. At the follow up pharmacy visit, the pharmacist will pull up the patient’s consultation record within their eTool, complete the assessment quickly and administer or dispense the appropriate treatments.

‘Following the success of our Travel Health eTool service, we know that over 50% of travellers using the service prefer to begin their consultation online, before sitting down with a pharmacist. Not only does this save time for both patient and pharmacist, it also encourages patients to engage with pharmacy services remotely, which in turn drives more footfall to their services.’

- explains Graham Thoms, Chief Executive of PharmaDoctor

We are also providing free digital marketing support to raise patient awareness of the range of services partner pharmacies provide.

If you’d like to find out more, follow our patient accounts on facebook, twitter and instagram to see how we are driving patients to your pharmacy services.
